When you get your hands on one of the first Polaris General G4’s in the country available to aftermarket performance and upgrade partners, you reach out and get the people that really know their fields – and they jump in with both feet. That is what partners do.

The build partners are calling it, #ProjectMBQ. Click the hashtag to see a ton of pics gathering on Instagram. Thanks to UTV Underground for this sick shot from the the Sand Sport Super Show.

Since we would not be so presumptuous as to explain what the Zuccone brothers at Evolution Powersports are engineering with tuning and exhaust performance or what Jason at AZP Concepts is up to with fabrication, we will leave that to them. You can follow along with the build in both the Polaris General Forum or the Facebook group and read what each of the partners is up to and why they do what they do.

We will keep you updated on the schedule of events where you can see the machine and we will post some killer pics and vids as we get them.

OK – “real talk” – we will steal some of the juicer bits from the build pages and partner pages and post them here, like the Executive Summary. Sound fair? Hah!!!

ENTRY 1 – AUGUST 2016

The General is the class leading, most versatile crossover Side-X-Side available today. With 100hp and new driver modes, the General can take on any task. The 2017 G4 adds even greater flexibility with best in class rear passenger space.

MB Quart took possession of the General in late August. First stop, over to the team at AZP Concepts.

Custom cage work was done in a matter of hours, including some rock sliders, rear bumper and a few other surprises all built in 10 days while running their day to day business and building several other cars for the Sand Sport Super Show.

Once the powder coat was final, it was packed up in the rig and headed West to Costa Mesa.

Pictured above is the Evolution Powersports <<\/>> face, plasma cut into the heatshield for the muffler; part of the intense upgrade to the exhaust system.

Check out this comparison of the attitude and tone of the OEM ehaust vs. the EVOPS “Magnum” upgrade.

HCR Racing was called on to improve the stance and capability of the G4 by adding 8” of track width and increased suspension travel.

Their bulletproof boxed a-arms more resemble what you’d see on a professional off-road race truck than on a UTV.

HCR provided more than enough clearance for the 32” Pro Armor Crawler XR tires. The custom king shocks will provide more than enough rebound for any terrain we throw at the G4. RCV axels will keep it all together.

ENTRY 2: SEPTEMBER 2016

Once we hit the coast, we unloaded the General to get into the MB Quart booth that we are sharing with our big brother Maxxsonics brand, Hifonics. People are packing in to check out the General, most for the first time.

The team at AZP Concepts knocked it out of the park. These guys are ultimate PROS! Follow their company’s many builds on Facebook. Better yet, get them on your project build.

Our other partners are equally kicking butt, including Brittney at HCR Racing, Mark at Pro Armorand the team from Triple X Seats who built our stunning seats on almost zero notice. Lastly, a big shout out to the team at Polaris Off Road Vehicles who really pushed this through.

Here is a wee teaser on something very new and VERY custom. Guess what it is..’

Stay tuned for more throughout the show and in the months to come. Next up: full audio install, accent lighting and a custom wrap. Rest assured we will be ready for CampRZR at Glamis in October and watch for additional upgrades from Wolf Designs and Boogie Lights.
